<p><span>As it is recommended to a driver to warm up his or her car for a few minutes before driving, an athlete is advised to warm up his or her muscles before working them. Exercising with cold muscles makes a person more susceptible to injury, especially muscle injuries such as pulled muscles.</span></p>

<p>Think of a coach and the first thing that comes into mind is a slightly stout and grumpy looking individual with a whistle hanging around his or her neck and a group of players who are sweating it out in front of the grumpy looking coach. Well, coaching any team or individual is more about man management than about sporting abilities alone.</p>
<p>What is the difference between a coach of a team and a mentor of any group in a company? The mentor has special skills and, more importantly, is in a position to understand the aspirations of different individuals of the group better. If the coach can encourage individuals to play with each other as a team, he or she will succeed in creating an excellent team that takes care of the deficiency in skill without any difficulty.</p>
<p>It is a fundamental rule of man management that it is dynamic and constantly changing. You cannot come up with specific rules related to management of individuals and conclude that you have done your bit. It is not an absolute science. Rather, you will have to keep track of the various changes in your team’s composition and act accordingly. A team that has forgotten the winning habit will require a lot of motivation and optimism. On the other hand, a team that wins regularly but often falls prey to overconfidence will require a combination of iron fist and velvet glove.</p>
<p>Hence, it is important to understand basic human resource concepts and keep track of various means of helping people perform better when functioning as a coach.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>There is no set way to live your life. No one dictates to you how you should eat, how you should sleep or how you should look. While no one dictates this to you directly, it’s sometimes indirectly and subliminally transmitted through our society. But, you’re not obligated to follow society and live as they visualize it. If you do, you’ll be training yourself to follow what other people say and do. The best thing you can do is to train you mind to how you want to live. Understand what your beliefs are and how they differ from one person to the next.</p>
<p>Sports individuals live in the spotlight, but that doesn’t mean every second of their life has to. They have their own private lives, families and things they share with only loved ones. We may think something wrong about them should act out of line once. But, we have to remember that behind the glamour and trophies, they’re just people like everyone else. Many celebrities fall prey to exposing their entire life on camera and tabloids. They often find displeasure, and discomfort from this type of living. People are so worried about what others think of them, they often find themselves bending to the whim of their fans.</p>
<p>Understand that you are your own individual. And, training your mind to realize that you are important the way you are is possibly the only way to live. Of course, there’s nothing wrong with taking another’s advice. But, remember that you’re in charge of your life and destiny. Follow it through to achieve your own happiness.</p>

<p>It’s hard to remain positive if you’re working a very stressful environment. Whether the work is in sports or not, most professionals have to find a positive mentality to hold onto. If you find that you’re not happy with the profession you’ve chosen it may be time to find another career. But, if you’re in it for the long haul and you know this is what you want to do in life, learn to keep a positive outlook on your chosen field.</p>
<p>Many people quit specific jobs or careers because the find it’s become too hard and pressuring on them. Jobs like stock broker, lawyer and even coaching jobs are very stressful. The important thing to remember is that if you know your job, and you know what you’re doing, you will be trusted in your decisions. It’s not a good idea to go into a career with the mentality that you know it all. Most professionals don’t know what they’re getting into when they start. It takes time, experience and failure to learn every aspect of their career.</p>
<p>When you’ve made a mistake, remember to remain positive and learn from the mistake. Some people quickly try to blame others or delude themselves into thinking their mistake was right. Consistent mistakes are a quick way to get you fired and end your career. Learn to own up to your mistakes and admit you were wrong. By doing this, you’ll learn to take setbacks and failures with a grain of salt. Live and learn, try again and keep your head up high. It takes time and practice, by you can learn to professionally remain focused in your chosen career.</p>

But, what about the difference in body structure and genetics in women? It’s not the same as men, there are things women possess that men don’t have to worry about. Women want to play as hard as a man does, but she has to remember to care for her health first.</p>
<p>When women participate in sports, they want to put their all into it. This isn’t a bad thing, and often shows dedication to the sport they’ve chosen. However, women must intake more vitamins and proteins in order to stay in the game. Most women take supplements to assist them with any vitamins they may be lacking. A proper meal is something most women take for granted. It’s not necessarily an eating disorder. It’s just the idea of other things taking priority over good eating habits.</p>
<p>But, women are prone to contracting eating disorders more often than men will. This is because women have a tendency to allow their personal image to get in their way of profession. Women are challenged everyday to do what they’ve dedicated properly and with style. No woman wants to be overweight and on the field or live TV. They want to look good doing what they’ve dreamed. Because of this, and stimuli of our society, it’s twice as hard as a woman who participates in sports. They’ve got to remember, however, that their body image matters so long as they feel good and can still function properly. They may also not remain in sports for very long. Sometimes the inner clock of a woman begins to tick and at that time, other priorities instead of sports become more important.</p>

<p>Any person should be regularly healthy each day. But, when people partake in extreme sports, you may find you’re risking your health a bit. Regular sports, like baseball or football, already have some sort of risk involved. Players know they’re sacrificing their body in order to make a living. In some cases, this is all right. However, in extreme sports, the chances of death or severe injury are worse.</p>
<p>What are some extreme sports that may cause such injury? Bungee jumping or BASE jumping are just two of the many others extreme sports. Bungee jumping is where you find a tall edifice and jump off of. You’re tied to an elastic line that will pull you back before you hit the ground. The problem with Bungee jumping is that if the cord isn’t tied, and you fall, well, let’s just say you’re not going to get back up again. BASE jumping, which stands for Buildings Antennas Spans and Earth, means you’re parachuting from these still items. The same risk that applies to bungee jumping is the same for BASE jumping.</p>
<p>Skateboarding is also considered an extreme sport. The goal is to do tricks and pull away from the skateboard while you’re riding on it. It’s a very exciting form of sport, but many people get injured from this type of sport. There’s always that chance where you’ll land wrong, like on your neck, and ruin your spine or chances of walking. Mountain climbing or scaling is also an extreme sport. The chances with this are falling and also hitting every rock that you just climbed on the way down. With any extreme sport, as opposed to non-extreme sports, know what risks you’ll be taking before participating.</p>

What goes on out on the field is very different from behind the scenes. Sure most of the action takes place in the arena, but what about the people that produce all the work for the sports teams?</p>
<p>These individuals are people like you and me. Sports are made up of so much more than players and coaches. There are lawyers, secretaries, graphic designers, slogan writers and so much more. They handle the business side of sports that many don’t see. But, that is how sports are often televised and produced. It’s important that these people have the necessary equipment to continue working for the sports industry and keep sports alive.</p>
<p>Like most businesses, office equipment is necessary so these individuals can continue to work comfortably on a regular basis. Office buildings are also necessary. They may not be as flashy or apparent as the stadiums where games are held, but they play an important part. The speakers, announcers and team owners are sometimes housed here. Announcers get to watch everything take place from afar and their job is to report on the action going on down below.</p>
<p>People such as graphic designers get to play a big part in sports as well. They sometimes assist the photographers with poster replications of famous players or MVP’s. This gains the team popularity and more fans means more income for any team. The smaller duties, like handling of money, payroll and logging away files are the work of secretaries. They keep everything organized on the side, and watch for anything that may go out of place. These people behind the scenes of sports are sometimes never seen. But, they’re always there helping and we see only the works of what they’ve done and contributed to the teams.</p>

<p>Playing sports isn’t all that it’s cracked up to be. And, if the sport is something extreme or challenging, more than likely something will end up cracking. There are important safety measures to take when participating in sports. Whether professionally or just for fun, you want to make sure that you, and other players don’t get hurt. Of course, there is the chance of bumps, bruises and muscle strain that will occur during play. But, you don’t want it so severe that you require immediate and extensive medical attention.</p>
<p>Before beginning in any activity, it’s important to stretch. Stretching helps the muscles warm up and get them ready to do vigorous activity. Remember to stretch each muscle for about two minutes. This is equivalent to singing “row row row your boat” five times straight. A quick jog for about 15 minutes is another way to get your body warmed up for extensive activities. You can either run around the block, or running track. Or, you can run in place. Jumping jacks, hopping around and bending down will help safely stretch your limbs.</p>
<p>Drinking plenty of water to keep your body hydrated is also important. You don’t want to go out onto the field without dehydrated. This is a great way to allow cramps to happen. Cramps often occur when the body is low on electrolytes. Water gives your body the energy it needs to maintain its active pace and keep you from fainting. Sometimes the sports or activities may be so extreme, that you need to take a break in order to re-hydrate yourself. Remember to take safety gear with you when participating in sports. This can be as simple as a first aid kit. Minor injuries and cuts can be fixed with a first aid kit. For more extreme sports, such as skateboarding, often an ambulance and doctor are already on scene to assist.</p>
